A sea-washed granite is mounted on a wood block, itself sitting on a painted brass baseplate.The granite is typical of the Land's End area of Cornwall, its surface shaped by the constant action of time, sand and water and distinctly marked by feldspar inclusions.On its side a small sphere rests at a point of visual tension appearing that it could roll at any moment.It's surface is finished with pulverised metal leaf catching the light differently at each angle.
